This is the World's Most Awesome Surfboard Chess Set! This particular "Surf City LTD" surfboard chess set is limited to 100 pieces. Each incredible piece designed and meticulously handcrafted by Huntington Beach surf artist Dave C Reynolds. The surfboards are exact scale models with super amazing detail. King: 1940's redwood and pine Hawaiian plank, 7 inches high. Queen:1960's triple stringer mahogany and pine classic longboard, 6 inches high, hand painted lei. Bishop: koa wood pintail gun, 5 1/4 inches high. Knight:1948 Ford Woody, 2 3/4 inches high. Rook: shabby surf shack, 2 3/4 inches high. The beautiful 17" x 17" playing surface is crafted from birch and walnut inlays. Total height of assembled chess table is 30 inches. Our unique bamboo board base is designed to look like a breaking wave.

Playing surface signed and numbered by Dave in gold ink. Custom versions and logos available. Playing pieces come in this custom 7" x 16" wood surfboard box. The koa wood surfboard on top of the box has an engraved plate for personalization, no extra charge. Silk lining with a little HB Pier framed pic mounted inside.
