Vintage Custom Con Windsurf/surf Fiberglass One Of A Kind Board

  

This is a Classic'One of a Kind' Windsurf board made out of fiberglass, that Con custom made for his girlfriend "Diane". It is a classic, 3 icon board, that was designed by "Jim Drake", shaped by "Bruce Grant", and made by Con Surfboards. All three men were truly iconic in their names sake, and have passed. This board is lucky to have captured all 3 signatures on one board. Jim Drake being the Aeronautical Engineer, that designed the free sail system for the Original'Windsurfer'.

Con was a very famous surfer of his time in the 1960's, owner of'Con Surfboards Shop on Pico Blvd. Bruce Grant was his shaper for many, many years. Photo taken at'Surf Rider Beach' in Malibu.
