Rainbow Surfboard VINTAGE late 60's/early 70's. Board was recovered at a garage sale and needed extensive work on the tail and nose. Has pressure dings on the top and bottom. There are a few areas that might need repair. Had the blue pinstripe professionally redone years ago and a re-glassing. Has classic down rails and stands approximately 6'8. Has the plastic insert to jam fishing weights on the nose with wax to aid in bottom turns. Rode it a few times about 10 years ago at Swamii's. Rode great but it has been on display ever since. For those who think I'm a kook for the price...

This was shaped by legendary surfer Mike Hynson in the Rainbow days BEFORE they used the "shaped by" print and glassed it in. I have added a few extra pictures to show he sometimes signs "Hy-" as his name. Since this has a psychedelic flower and "Hy-100", maybe this is his 100th board ever shaped??

I can't confirm it is his 100th board but it definitely is a piece of surfing history shaped by a master of both surfing and surfboard making. Own a piece of history!
