Very, Very Rare 9th Annual Duke Kahanamoku Hawaiian Surf Classic Program from 1973. Owned by John Kerwin (Founder of the Hermosa Beach Surf Club in the 1930's). John's signature is on the front of the program. Lots of notes regarding the outcome and personal notes to Jan as well from Moroni Medeiros aka: Ron Maury(Master of Ceremonies). Notable entries for the event are as follows.

Eddie Aikau, Gerry Lopez, Jeff Hakman, Larry Bertleman, Rory russell, Ben Aipa, Peter Townend, Ian Cairns and Clyde Aikau and many, many more! Winner of the event was Clyde Aikau, Reno Abellira was 2nd, Jeff Hakman was 3rd, James Jones was 4th and Jeff Crawford of Florida was 5th, Eddie Aikau was 6th, Larry Bertleman came in 7th and the 8th place finisher was Terry Fitzgerald from Australia. This article is one of the best I've seen and it makes the program so much more enjoyable!
